sharp pain, is always a sign that something bad is going on, I run a lot, and dull muscle pain, even joint pain, is to be expected from time to time, but a sharp pain I always listen to, and take a day off, you should alternate days if you are running marathons, I hope that you are taking at the least a full day off, I would even stagger your days and nights here, run one morning, skip a day, run the next night, is what I try and do, that way you almost get 1.5-2 days off, don't over do it
