Why do people love to praise Ric Flair's "technical skills"?

there is nothing good about his "techniques" if they can even be called that, all he ever did was chop,chop, chop and kick wrestler's legs a few times before setting them up for the figure four, if Steamboat would ever have had a series of matches against Bret Hart, Malenko or Benoit, no one would have ever remembered the Flair-Steamboat "clics"
