My friend's internet browsers aren't working. None of them?

She can use IRC chat and MSN, but can't use any internet broswers. She has tried IE and Mozilla FF, even the browser inside Ares (downloading program) but no use. It like tells her an error saying that her connection got interruped? Please help.
