Boys have dry skin because of the weather EWWW?

I have 3 boys (14 10 and 8) and I noticed that ever since the winter weather came around their skin was real dry, especially when they came home from school, their face and ears are completely dried out along with the rest of their bodies.. They only need to walk a few blocks from school but its been snowing since last week. Yesterday I had them all take long hot baths but that didn'd seem to do any good.It just made my oldest's skin feel even more rough. Any suggestions to keep their skin from getting any worse? Its kind of gross to me. We live in Canada
