Cats- can roundworms be transmitted via their saliva??

Worms cannot be tranmitted through saliva. They can be transmitted through the mothers milk to kittens. In general worm larvae encyst in the hosts body waiting for an opportunity to become active, usually when the host animal is under stress. Pregnancy, illness, transportation etc. In these cirtances it would be wise to worm your cat 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after to prevent any problems. Never, at any time would I advise ingesting cat feces !
